【Profile】

A former high school gymnast who competed in both the National Inter-High School Championships and the National Sports Festival of Japan.

In 2012, he founded Studio fika in Showa, Yamanashi. Since then, the studio has become a hub for his teaching—spanning workshops and yoga events throughout Japan and abroad.

He has contributed to the magazine Yogini, writing meditative essays inspired by the poetry of Shuntaro Tanikawa, and has served multiple times as a supervisor for its yoga philosophy pages.

Currently, he oversees the long-running column Yoga Philosophy Through Manga in Yoga Journal Japan.

He studies HSK kinesiology as taught by Los Angeles-based Dr. Homma and offers a style of yoga that gently awakens the deep connection between mind and body.

Each year, he travels to India to continue his study of Vedic teachings, and hosts annual retreats there as part of his ongoing practice.

In 2021, he published his first book, "Datsuryoku Yoga" (Gakken), which was translated into Korean in 2023 and is now reaching readers around the world.
